Afghan blast targets policewomen

Two policewomen are dead, after a bombing attack in Afghanistan on Thursday that targeted the female officers.
A hospital official says three people were killed, and 10 others wounded in the attack.
The vehicle carrying six policewomen was making its way to Herat airport, when a remote-controlled roadside bomb went off.
Nobody has yet claimed responsibility for the blast.
Violence across Afghanistan in 2010 reached its worst levels since the Taliban were toppled by U.S.-backed Afghan forces in late 2001, and 2011 has followed a similar trend.
