Singer Yanni looks to aid Thailand flood relief.

Greek musician Yanni took time out of his current world tour to offer support for those impacted by the flood ravaged areas of Thailand. The internationally-renowned musician, who performed at the Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani on Wednesday night (October 19), was so moved by the hardship facing the Thai people due to the flooding, that he wanted to help out and visit those affected.
SOUNDBITE Musician Yanni saying (English):
"Last night we we performing in Bangkok and I had to come see for myself. I had been watching you all on television and it is one thing to see it on television it is another thing to see it for real."
On his trip to Bangkok, Yanni met with the governor and helped with filling sandbags with volunteers at Bangkok's Flood Relief Center.
Born in Greece, the self-taught pianist, keyboardist, and composer is taking part in a world tour that will run through 2012.
