On Wednesday Swedish Defense Company Saab sold 22 Jas Griffin type fighter planes to Switzerland. The stock rose sharply on the Stockholm Stock exchange when the news was released. Saab is under investigation together with British defense company BAE for bribery in South Africa.

Saab closed a deal of 26 Griffin planes with the South African government in 1999. The Griffin was recently deployed in operations in Libya by the Swedish air force under NATO command.
