"I still don't feel like we finished and I don't want my brothers that have lost their lives and my sisters to be for nothing just so we can go back there in another 20 years."

"Some days it'd be satisfying to believe that we were actually accomplishing a mission, you could actually see the communities turn around, actual town's people would come out and greet you and actually they would be excited to see you and you'd be able to help and that was good. And you know there were the times when they were not so good."

"The bomb was underneath the bridge and the bridge blew up beneath me, like, actually underneath my feet, some rocks were near. So, that was that day."

"Honestly I think it's worth to bring freedom to another country. I don't know... we necessarily did the right thing."
