DAVE JACOBS AND THE PRODIGAL SONS - #2

PRESENTED BY LAYLA ANNA-LEE

Dave was born in Brisbane, Australia where he grew up in a musical family. A few years ago he discovered a passion for songwriting...His perfectly crafted songs are a dramatic, emotional & sensitive account of his life experiences,..inspired & influenced by the people in his life & his surroundings. With his smooth, soothing tones, he tells each story with beautifully strong yet simple lyrics. Performing solo gigs at showcases & open mic nights for a while Dave decided to try to put a band together. Advertising worldwide, he put together a group of open minded, super talented musicians.... Hailing from various backgrounds, geographically & musically, each brings his own unique touch to the group, creating an original & eclectic mix of sounds. UK born, 'Eddy Riches', a virtuoso of the guitar...uses an amazing scope of sounds to make each song stand alone... with experimental creativity, melodic hooks & an artists sensitivity...he perfectly fills in the gaps, the icing on the cake. Drummer, 'Vincenzo Infusino', from Italy....internationally renowned for his phenomenal talent, with built in metronome and a blend of incredible skills, imagination & subtlety. His unique style of playing is definitely one of a kind. 'Big Alex McConnell', also from Queensland, a bass player with a miraculous natural talent, weaves a myriad of textures....swaying from strong melodic lines to funky grooves to delicate, subtle tones....his versatility & creativity combine perfectly with the percussion to create an astounding rhythm section. It is quite difficult to place the band in a specific genre as their music is a fusion of many different influences and sounds...The best way to describe their sound would be laid back, accoustic surf rock with undertones of jazz & blues, & hints of roots & reggae.
