BALCONYTV TORONTO IS BROUGHT TO YOU IN ASSOCIATION WITH INDIE WEEK AND THE UNDERGROUND GARAGE
Most sky phenomenon are hard to find and do not occur regularly. This is the case with Moondog Uproar. The Uproar consists of Michael Lavereau (vocals, piano and guitars) Aaron Ambrose (bass) and Matt Varey (drums). This trio of musicians banded together in the summer of 2008 in London Ontario. With a strong determination to make music they love, the three began rehearsing daily until they arrived at the twelve songs that comprise their first full length album "Sunrise". The band continues to build a strong following and with each show receives an increasingly positive response. With performances in Toronto, Hamilton, Grand bend, and their hometown London to name a few, the band is looking to expand beyond provincial boarders and take their music to national and international audiences. Artists such as The Beatles, C.C.R. Bob Dylan and Billy Joel have been a great influence to the band. These classical roots of Rock have been further honed and modelled by nineties rockers Oasis and Weezer and most recently Kasabian, Jack White, Arctic Monkeys and Coldplay. Canadian influences include The Guess Who, Neil Young, Sloan and The Tragically Hip. Moondog Uproar have much left to sing about and are committed to making a strong musical contribution, following in the footsteps of those who have paved the way and made Canadian Rock distinctive and world renowned.
