"They're folk, they're acoustic, and they're unquestionably talented." - Aimee Somerville, Drum Media.
Hailing from Perth, 'A Beggars Second' brings a vibrant, honest perspective emerging from the city's grass roots acoustic scene
.
Launching their debut album Needs and Wants at Fremantle's iconic Mojo's Bar, the sell out event has been just the beginning of this duo's journey. Their unique sound, d...riven by Bowden's catchy vocal hooks over lush instrumentation and Degebrodt's percussive rhythms, landed them on the main stage in 2010 at The Nannup Music Festival alongside acts such as John Butler, Tijuana Cartel and Tinpan Orange. On their way into 2011 they toured regional WA and later the East Coast to promote Needs and Wants. It was later declared in the top ten Albums of 2010 alongside international artists such as The Black Keys, LCD Soundsystem and Caribou by Fremantle Radio's The Vibe. In April A Beggars Second played prior to John Butler at a Sea Shepherd fundraiser and are now about to embark on their second East Coast Tour in August 2011.
A Beggars Second have been playing consistently around WA venues since 2008 supporting local and national artists at festivals, pubs, restaurants and private functions. Visit
