Team DadLabs has been training hard for the Austin Live Strong Marathon this Sunday. We've got great sponsors in BabyBjorn, New Balance, Windi helping us support two wonderful charities, Colins Hope and Hand to Hold.
Kelli Kelley is the Founder/Executive Director of Hand to Hold. They provide comprehensive navigation resources and support to parents who have had a premature birth or loss of a baby. For more information visit www.handtohold.org.
Alissa Magrum is the Executive Director of Colin's Hope. Their mission raise water safety awareness to prevent drownings. Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children under age of 5 and the second leading cause in children ages 1-14. For more information visit www.colinshope.org.
Kelli and Alissa will also be running this sunday. Please visit www.tinych.org/dadlabs and join our sponsors in supporting their organizations.
Alissa offers these tips for race day. Give an appreciation gift to your significant other for being away so much during training. If you have trouble drinking and running, like Daddy Clay, it's ok to stop and take a drink. And definitely have a good poo plan in place and go to the bathroom before the starting gun. It's a long run.
