INTERVIEW AND SESSION FILMED FOR BALCONY TV LONDON
PRESENTED BY IVAN BERRY
PRODUCED BY VIDEO-BOX

Taken from the title of a Built to Spill song, Twin Falls is a moniker for London based/Somerset born Luke Stidson to write and record his delicately woven indie folk tunes under. Often supported by an ever-growing and revolving cast of friends.
In a previous life Stidson ran the much-missed indie label Exercise1, releasing debut singles from the likes of Twin Thousands, Jeremy Warmsley and the widely acclaimed 50minutes compilation that included Daniel Johnston and MC Lars. After putting the label to bed, Luke wrote and recorded a 6 track EP of songs during the notoriously freezing February of 2009. 'We Will Begin To Flicker' caused enough of a stir that Subba-Cultcha named Twin Falls "folk's newest young rebels". Whilst God is The TV claimed it was "essential listening...Twin Falls never let you down", before awarding the EP a cool 5 out of 5.
Following a second EP release, 'The Seasoned Times' in 2010, radio also began to take an interest -- with both Tom Robinson and Steve Lamacq providing BBC 6Music plays - Lamacq even interviewing Luke on air and dubbing Twin Falls "a kind of lo-fi romantic".
Twin Falls' sound can be described as a finely tuned oscillation between the lo-fi and intimate and the lush and widescreen. Making nods to the likes of Sparklehorse, Elliott Smith and Magnetic Fields.
