This highlights the importance of repeating experiments and doing the utmost to see that results are accurate. The CERN scientists advocated this all along, and were careful never to claim they revolutionized physics.

CERN researcher Antonio Ereditato discusses the recent findings that appear to show neutrinos travelling faster than light, which, if correct, would have major implications for physics. Ereditato reminds everyone for the need to wait until the scientific community has had a chance to scrutinize the results and possibly repeat them to confirm they are correct.
