A scene from the movie Crossroads (Not the one from Britney, this one is way older) were Steve Vai faces Karate kid.
Obviusly the kid doesn't play a thing, the tunes are performed by Joe Satrianni, specially the last song (Paganini) cover from a cello concierto.
