This quartet, originally from Muskoka, ON, are in their tenth year of composing and performing music as a group. Collectively, they have written and recorded over a hundred un-released songs and played dozens of local live shows to prepare themselves for their official launch as a professional musical act in 2010.

Since the group formed in 2001, they used the first eight years strategically and carefully to ensure that their debut album, Modern Ghost Stories would be an epic result of their hard work and commitment to creating something completely fresh and honest. While inspired by artists like The Beatles, Elvis Costello, Sufjan Stevens, Radiohead and The Cure, the band put forth a great effort to create their own contagious sound, paying homage to both themselves as artists, and the artists that influenced their sound and performance. Within their music, the listener will find many traces of different musical types; from the singer-songwriter feeling that folk induces to the intensity and truth that punk can offer when coupled with passion and trust. Above everything, the band has gone to every length to provide what may be the most likeable and consistent melodies within the current music scene. Carefully written and arranged music warrants an amazing and epic product - this group will settle for nothing less than just that.

Currently living in Toronto, ON, Crimes in Paris have just recently released their first full-length album (August, 2010).
