PRESENTED BY CHRISTINA CHILDRESS

Chickory Hill is one of the newest duos to surface in the music capital of the world, Austin, Texas. In a time when artists such as Jay Z and Lady Antebellum sit cozily next to one another on any given ipod, Chickory Hill understands the need for diversity.
With influences such as Katy Perry, Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews, Bruce Hornsby and Lady Antebellum, Chickory Hill has created a new brand of Folktronic Pop. Their passionate and sincere songwriting style creates a mix of ballads and upbeat songs that give today's music enthusiast the broad spectrum of music they long for.

Chickory Hill is planning to release both an acoustic and full band album in 2011. Material which will be written, recorded and produced by the duo. With tracks like "Kiss Me Now" and "Stay The Night" Chickory Hill captures the magic of relationship, both good and bad. Their song "Green Rain", written about the wonderment of human memory, will put a smile on the listener's face. Their current material even contains a silly play on the nursery rhyme "Little Bo Peep".

Tim Angsten is a singer-songwriter and record producer/engineer. He began his music career (1995) at the age of eight and has gained a vast amount of experience both on stage and in the recording studio.

In 2008 Angsten released his debut solo album entitled, "Driven To Drive" and has captured the hearts of audiences throughout the Midwest ever since. Angsten's 2010 release "Unheard Melodies" merges acoustic austerity with technophilic creativity to produce a fresh and inspired sound. Influences such as John Mayer, Jack Johnson and Dave Matthew's serve as Angsten's musical palette from which imaginative and imagery evoking songs originate.

In 2011 Angsten moved from Wisconsin to Austin, TX with hopes of furthering his music career. After a few months of searching for band members to promote his solo project with, Angsten sent a response to a craigslist ad posted by a female vocalist named Laura Ann Gregson.

Gregson was born and raised a Southern Belle and has been singing since she was a young child. Never having professional training, she learned to sing by listening to the radio and singing at Karaoke venues.

Gregson's influences include artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert and Gretchen Wilson. However, the greatest musical inspiration for Gregson is Wynonna Judd. These artists have helped form the chilling sincerity and vocal qualities Gregson projects today. Her ability to sing in the moment is unmatched by any artist in the current music industry.
