The computer works great. I'm using as alternative to a big desktop computer for HTPC use. It plays everything I throw at it without a problem. Of course, that is using it as a single use computer. It doesn't multitask any better than other netbook computers but that's the trade-off you make for a smaller footprint and low power consumption. It works for me and based on the research I did, its a better machine, particularly the graphics circuitry, than the competing Intel based products.
A warning: My unit came without a screw to attach it to the stand. You also need the screw to attach to the VESA mount for mounting it on the backside of a monitor. I called their support line and was told the screw was not included even though the stands were. So you get two different stands (one for monitor mounting and one for a standalone setup) but no way to secure the computer to either stand. They couldn't even tell me what size screw to use. They said to use trial and error. So you pay over $300 for a computer and they leave out a ten cent screw.
The crazy thing is they do give you screws to mount the vesa mount to the monitor.
Despite my best efforts I could not find a screw that fit properly. I assume it needs to be metric but a M3 was too small and a M4 too big. The closest fit I could find was a 3/4 inch 6/32 but that was a little too long and needed washers to get it to fit. I don't think the threads are right though so I didn't tighten too much.
Hopefully, I won't need further ASUS support.
