Final Fantasy IX Review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Final Fantasy IX, the Die Another Day of RPGs developed and published in 2000 by Square for the PlayStation. Remember that James Bond film, Die Another Day? How it referenced every Bond flick that came before it, in one way or another? (As well as Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but that was mostly John Cleese's doing.) Well, Final Fantasy IX does much the same! Just... less obnoxiously. Also, there's the whole "return to classic Final Fantasy mechanics," the ever-popular "characters people can actually like," and "WTF IS QUINA ANYWAY?" I'm still trying to figure out the last one. But s/he's a Blue Mage, so s/he's OK in my book! This CGRundertow video game review features video gameplay footage of Final Fantasy IX for the PlayStation and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.
