[ISS] Crews Shelter in Soyuz As Space Debris Passes Station

The Expedition 30 crews sheltered in their respective Soyuz spacecraft today, 24th March 2012 at 06:38 UTC. As a piece of Cosmos satellite debris made it's closest approach to the station.

After the debris successfully passed the station without incident the crews began procedures to enter back into the orbiting complex.

This is the 3rd time in Station history a crew has had to shelter in their Soyuz spacecraft. Crews do this so they can undock from the station, if it is hit.
