10. கர்த்தருடைய நாள் இரவிலே திருடன் வருகிறவிதமாய் வரும்; அப்பொழுது வானங்கள் மடமட என்று அகன்றுபோம், பூதங்கள் வெந்து உருகிப்போம், பூமியும் அதிலுள்ள கிரியைகளுமெரிந்து அழிந்துபோம்.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11. இப்படி இவைகளெல்லாம் அழிந்துபோகிறதாயிருக்கிறபடியால் நீங்கள் எப்படிப்பட்ட பரிசுத்த நடக்கையும் தேவபக்தியும் உள்ளவர்களாயிருக்கவேண்டும்!
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12. தேவனுடைய நாள் சீக்கிரமாய் வரும்படிக்கு மிகுந்த ஆவலோடே காத்திருங்கள்; அந்த நாளில் வானங்கள் வெந்து அழிந்து, பூதங்கள் எரிந்து உருகிப்போம்.
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

12. அவர் ஆறாம் முத்திரையை உடைக்கக்கண்டேன்; இதோ, பூமி மிகவும் அதிர்ந்தது; சூரியன் கறுப்புக் கம்பளியைப்போலக் கறுத்தது; சந்திரன் இரத்தம்போலாயிற்று.
And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13. அத்திமரமானது பெருங்காற்றினால் அசைக்கப்படும்போது, அதின் காய்கள் உதிருகிறதுபோல, வானத்தின் நட்சத்திரங்களும் பூமியிலே விழுந்தது.
And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14. வானமும் சுருட்டப்பட்ட புஸ்தகம்போலாகி விலகிப்போயிற்று; மலைகள் தீவுகள் யாவும் தங்கள் இடங்களைவிட்டு அகன்றுபோயின.
And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15. பூமியின் ராஜாக்களும், பெரியோர்களும், ஐசுவரியவான்களும், சேனைத்தலைவர்களும், பலவான்களும், அடிமைகள் யாவரும், சுயாதீனர் யாவரும், பர்வதங்களின் குகைகளிலும் கன்மலைகளிலும் ஒளித்துக்கொண்டு,
And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16. பர்வதங்களையும் கன்மலைகளையும் நோக்கி: நீங்கள் எங்கள்மேல் விழுந்து, சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் வீற்றிருக்கிறவருடைய முகத்திற்கும், ஆட்டுக்குட்டியானவருடைய கோபத்திற்கும் எங்களை மறைத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்;
And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17. அவருடைய கோபாக்கினையின் மகா நாள் வந்துவிட்டது, யார் நிலைநிற்கக்கூடும் என்றார்கள்.
For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
