A house in southern Israel suffered a direct hit from a Grad rocket fired by Palestinian militants on Sunday (September 9). A neighbouring building was also wrecked.

There were no casualties in the attack, launched from the Gaza Strip on the town of Netivot, but five people were hospitalised for shock, Israeli police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld told Reuters.

Another rocket landed near the Israeli city of Beersheba.

An Israeli military spokesperson said on Sunday that more than 455 rockets launched from Gaza have hit Israel since the beginning of 2012.
