Australian PM Gillard arrives in India

Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard arrives in Delhi on Monday (October 15) a day after paying a secret visit to Afghanistan on her way to India.
During her three-day India visit, she is expected to hold delegation level talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as well as President Pranab Mukherjee on October 17.
The bilateral relations between India and Australia were elevated to the level of a strategic partnership during the visit of her predecessor Kevin Rudd in November 2009.
Her visit is expected to improve bilateral trade links between both the nations including possible uranium sales.
