The Vanishing Shadow Part1 Accused of Murder
When courageous inventor Stanley Stanfield (Onslow Stevens) is framed for murder by ruthless businessman Wade Barnett (Walter Miller), he enlists the aid of eccentric electrical genius Carl Van Dorn (James Durkin) to clear his name and expose Barnett as a criminal. Also assisting Stanfield is Gloria Grant (Ada Ince), the estranged daughter of Wade Barnett, who believes that her corrupt father can be redeemed. Menaced at every turn by Barnett's hired thugs, Stanfield and Van Dorn equalize the odds with the use of their new invention--a "vanishing ray" harness that enables its wearer to become invisible! NOTE: The video files I uploaded to Dailymotion were obtained from the Internet Archive (www.archive.org). All of my copies play normally, but some chapters have sound synchronization problems after uploading to Dailymotion. The audio track will lead the video by 1 or 2 seconds in some cases. I do apologize for the mild annoyance, but the serial is still quite watchable. Unfortunately, streaming the chapters from the Internet Archive site results in the same sound sync problem. However, better results can be obtained by directly downloading the larger MPEG4 files of THE VANISHING SHADOW chapters at the Internet Archive.
