Thursday proved a bloody day in Syria's unending civil war.

Amateur footage uploaded to a social media website purports to show rebels roughly rounding up government soldiers in the Syrian village of Saraqeb.

Shortly after, gunfire echoes throughout the building as the rebel fighters apparently execute their captives.

Reports claim at least 28 government soldiers were killed in three separate attacks around the village, however, Reuters cannot independently verify this video.

A government airstrike destroyed a bakery in a town just west of Aleppo, killing more than a dozen residents and wounded upwards of 40 others.

This man says embattled President Bashar al-Assad has ruined the town's only source of food production, but added that residents will not surrender to the regime.

Syria's bloody conflict has also roused the country's ethnic Kurd population.

Hundreds took to the streets in the community of Derik to voice their anger over Kurdish-language school closures that they blame on Assad.
