Last week I went for a late season north coast rock cod fishing trip that soon became an amazing whale watching adventure. We were fishing out of Point Arena, California a small coastal town about 60 miles or so north of Bodega Bay, CA.
This part of the coast is sort of a home away from away from home for me. I started coming up here for abalone diving about 30 years ago. I ate so darn much of it that I am now allergic to abalone, so, no more diving for me, but I still come up here quite often for the fishing.
