Following controversy and drama over the weekend when Jonathan Trott hit a Ravi Jadeja no ball for four after it pitched several times, Virat Kohli also getting involved, the final day was a more sedate affair as Trott and Warwickshire team-mate Ian Bell both scored centuries to guide England to the draw.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni had been run out for 99 in India's innings but there were no such worries for England as Trott batting and Bell batting helped them close on 252 for four in their second innings. Even Joe Root got in on the act by hitting R Ashwin for six.

The series victory is England's first in India since 1985 and India's first defeat at home since they lost to Australia in 2004.
