Last Duel review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Last Duel (developed and published by Capcom) for arcades, also part of Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 2 for PS2 and Capcom Classics Collection: Remixed for PSP. The year is 1988. Vertical-scrolling SHMUPS are well-established, and - barring a few interesting outliers (like Gun.Smoke, which I will mention every chance I get because it's awesome) - they all seem to be aircraft-based. Well, in the case of Last Duel, it's half-right: It's partly a spacefaring, barrel-rolling shoot-'em-up, and it's partly a vehicular, gravity-fearing romp through alien terrain, full of obstacles to leap and a very naked queen. This video review features video gameplay footage of Last Duel for PS2 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.
