Emergency messages play over a loud speaker in the coastal town of Chittagong, Bangladesh urging residents to take shelter.

Cyclone Mahasen is baring down on the region-- putting some 4 million people at risk. One million people have been asked to evacuate.

Some have already relocated into shelters like these... barely equipped with enough food and water to handle the masses.

Besides a major storm surge expected to hit country's delta, mudslides are also a concern.

The storm has already killed at least seven people and displaced 3,881 in Sri Lanka as it tracked across the Bay of Bengal towards Bangladesh.
