Though these levels are in a level select mode, there is definitely some form of connection to create a Campaign. Sadly, I was not told which was the first, so I simply jumped into the first letter alphabetically. Well, we will see where this takes us (expect this video series to be out of order, check the Wikia for the correct order)!

Abstractions is true to its name. It is a mess of textures, we have about 30 textures in one level. Thinking back to Q2's theme of one texture per level, this is amazing! Of course, the biggest problem here is that all the textures amount to an abstract level, there is no real sense of theme or purpose here. Once you have played the level once or twice you can easily figure out where everything is, but the first time is quite the chaotic mess. I do like the nonlinearity though, even if it is harder to write for!

The length of this level matches those of the original campaign, so this sounds promising. Though I am bugged by the Water Elevators (not exactly my taste to have water floating somewhere with no explainable purpose), I do like that we are finally seeing a custom hazard (still no custom enemies or weapons in this pack).

The reviews said these levels were dark. Well, so far, this is extremely bright. I also didn't struggle too much with this level, unlike the reviews which said this was extremely hard. I think I am just going to disregard what they said.
