Open G Beginner Slide Lesson

This is a rather long lesson going over the same basic concepts again and again. I call this "One Finger Blues" because there's no fretting, just playing in Open G Tuning with the slide.

Being limited forces more creativity and work arounds on the guitar and in the blues especially. Look how much music we've gotten out of 3 chords and 5 notes throughout musical history.

Here I just play a basic blues with licks and chords I took from the Delta Blues players and just improvised over and over with the slide and no picks.

Try to get the blues under your fingers before moving to picks or a flatpick.

Of course my dog started making racket. Love him though.
