How often do you think about the editors role in shaping and developing a story?

Stanley Kubrick once said this of editing:

Writing, of course, is writing, acting comes from the theater, and cinematography comes from photography.

Editing is unique to film storytelling.

You can see something from different points of view almost simultaneously, and it creates a new experience.

This is just a little short film we shot with Jeff Chen at the APV office this morning about editing.

This was all filmed with available light on the Sony a6300 camera.

All hand held at 100fps.
