00:00I want five official award championships and then I want a couple like
00:15My name is Stephanie Harvey, and I'm also known as miss RV in the gaming community
00:19I'm a professional gamer and I live in Quebec City. Yeah, right there
00:30I
00:34Currently playing for the team Connor logic gaming
00:37Also known as CLG red my game handle was found like 15 years ago when I was in high school
00:50I started pro gaming 13 years ago in 2005 at first
00:54I saw tournaments and I wanted to attend these tournaments with my female team
01:00I thought wow, maybe I can be a world champion at something and it could become a strike
01:04and then we started getting sponsored and it was really really small stuff like
01:08We'll pay for your mousepad or your headset
01:11And then slowly it became like a little paper trip and you'll tell and now it's my full-time career. So it's been a dream come true
01:19I
01:23Think I decided to go full-time when
01:27I was not being fulfilled by my other activities in my life
01:32And I always felt like it was something I was missing something. I needed to try
01:37So I've been full-time gaming and pro gaming for three years and a half now, and I'm really glad I did it
01:44I wouldn't go back
01:50I
01:53Throughout my career
01:55Like anyone else that's extremely public on the internet. I have been the victim of like, you know harassment
02:03insults threats, whatever
02:06I don't think it's like related to gaming only. I think it's really like a society problem where as a community
02:14We don't know how to handle our online interaction
02:20A
02:23Couple years ago a couple of girlfriends and I we started this initiatives called miss click where we wanted to pretty much
02:31Talk about minorities in geek and gaming culture. So lift them up
02:36Provide them with a safe environment. I think the miss clicks initiatives really taught me how to handle
02:42Positivity and geek and gaming culture instead of kind of being the victim more like what can I do?
02:48I think this was really crucial for my personal profession
02:57I'd say the best part of being a pro gamer is most of the time my job doesn't feel like a job and my advice is
03:04Don't give up because you only need one. Yes to be a pro gamer, right?
03:11You
