The Shiva Dhyana Mantra :
Karacharana Kritam is the 14th shloka of Adi Shankara's Shiva Aparadha Kshamapana stotram.
The meaning of this stotram literally translates to seeking forgiveness from past ill-deeds.
The mantra is traditionally practiced by Shiva disciples as a daily prayer.
Devotees would hold a Rudraksha mala to count the number of repetitions of this prayer. They would chant it for hours in deep penance.
