Reipas is a Finnish word which means positive, uplifting and motivated.
The duo that forms Reipas started to play music together in 2008, when they quickly discovered the connection to create songs so easily and freely together.
Dinny, originally from Cork, Ireland, moved to Paris to see where the road would take her and was quite surprised to find herself behind the mic singing and writing songs about life’s experiences.
Guillaume is a bassist who has played in many Parisians bands over years mainly in the indie, hardcore punk scene.
He grabbed the acoustic guitar as a change of instrument and the two began to create the songs and sound of Reipas.
Their first album, called 'Dancing with Fire', is released on september 15th 2011. The album contains 11 tracks and was mixed and produced by up and coming talented Scottish producer Chris Gordon.
The sound of Reipas is very dynamic, full of energy and emotions that they express easily into their songs.
Live, the duo mix cleverly mix the natural sound of guitar and voices with keyboards, loop pedals and samples.
