A woman in Ohio recently received a unique punishment for issuing fraudulent drivers licenses and identification cards to illegal immigrants.

The lady in question, 44-year-old Betina Young has been ordered by a judge to spend her next 5 Christmases in jail.

She was previously employed in a deputy registrar’s office but she took advantage of her role. Earlier in May, she pleaded guilty to five counts of tampering with records.

Judge Michael J. Holbrook established his own form of punishment called the "Holbrook Holiday." He commonly asks convicts what their favorite holiday is and then he makes sure the defendants spend that cherished time behind bars.

The unusual court ordered holiday gives people a minimum of three days in jail on and around their chosen date. Judge Holbrook stated “With the cost of prisons rising in Ohio, this really is an alternative and effective form of sentencing.”

In addition to that stipulation, Young also received 5 years’ probation along with a $3,000 fine. If she violates any aspect of the sentencing, she will face 15 years in prison.
