00:00 She was very fearful and shut down.
00:02 She didn't want to look at us.
00:03 She had been on the street running around with another dog.
00:05 One of the volunteers was only able to trap one of them,
00:08 which ended up being Brianna.
00:09 Good girl, Brianna.
00:14 First few days, she would step to the back of the crate.
00:16 We put a big stuffed animal in there for her to sleep with,
00:19 which she seemed to love,
00:20 because we knew that she probably used to cuddle with the other dogs she was running around with.
00:24 Good girl.
00:25 I just tried to give her her space, gain her trust.
00:28 And after a few days, I was just going to refill her water bowl.
00:33 And she came out of her crate and rolled over on her back and let me rub her belly.
00:37 It was just amazing that she was ready to bond.
00:39 Good job. Good job, Bri.
00:41 Eventually, once she started feeling more comfortable,
00:44 she started running around my mom's backyard and started blossoming.
00:47 And it was incredible to see, because I was so worried how long she was going to be shut down.
00:55 She just really has blossomed into such a confident, happy dog.
00:59 Get it, Brianna.
01:00 I can just tell how much she loves life now.
01:02 It is incredible to see that transformation.
01:05 And in turn, she's helped my other dog build confidence.
01:10 My precious little babies.
01:12 He was just as shut down as she was when he came to me.
01:16 You two are so cute.
01:17 She's very maternal towards him, even though she's younger.
01:19 She will lick him, she watches over him and comforts him.
01:23 Are you comfortable, Brianna?
01:24 It's just amazing how well she feels.
01:26 I need a groomer. Give me a groomer.
01:30 Vet estimates that she's between a year to two years old.
01:33 Aw, she loves her grandma.
01:36 I definitely think she was someone, especially since she knew the sit command right away.
01:40 Whenever we see strollers, she's always so excited to see them.
01:43 And I think so maybe previously she lived in a home that had a baby, possibly.
01:49 Brianna.
01:49 I love her eyes. They're so unique.
01:51 And you can just see like her sweet personality shine through her eyes.
01:55 She's 100% American Pitbull Terrier.
01:58 This was the DNA show.
01:59 I found out that she shared DNA with my other two dogs who have passed, who are rescue dogs.
02:05 It was just incredible to me.
02:07 You want to be friends with her?
02:09 She went through so much hardship and she was so shut down.
02:12 And just to watch her transformation has been incredible and shown that no matter what you've gone through,
02:18 it'll get better in the end and you just have to have that strength.
02:21 Oh, look at you.
02:22 I still think about her poor friends.
02:24 We think she looks just like Brianna.
02:26 We think they may have actually been sisters.
02:27 We're not sure, but I still have faith that she'll be found one day.
02:30 Good job. Look at you.
02:32 Are you having a good time?
02:34 Yeah.
02:35 Aw, she's giving you kissies.
02:37 She's brought me so much happiness and I feel so grateful that I was able to be part of her journey.
02:43 You love the backyard.
02:46 I just look forward to many more happy years with her.
02:49 You're so silly.
02:52 Silly girl. Silly girl. Silly girl. Silly girl.
