It really is never too let to get in shape. 64-year-old Robert Durbin is a prime example.

The grandfather from Louisville, Kentucky works out 7 days a week, about four hours each day. Durbin’s active lifestyle today stems from not so healthy previous habits.

Approximately 7 years ago, Durbin was severely overweight. He wore ankle braces and utilized a cane and walker. Basically the extra weight was taking a real toll on his health.

He decided to radically change his life when he found out he was becoming a grandfather. Durbin is now 70 pounds lighter than his former self. In total, he has lost 18 inches off his waist.

Durbin also had to learn how to eat. He formerly ate two plates at every meal, but that all changed when he started working out.

He spends every morning on his elliptical machine followed by home abdominal exercises prior to heading to the gym for another 3 three hours of grueling activity.

Durbin stated “I'm 64 and I'm doing it. I'm living the dream right now. I'd like to see more people, especially over 50, get out and do it. Exercise. Do something. They could feel so much better."
