Sinkhole in Corvette Museum Swallows 8 Cars

A sinkhole underneath the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky ended up swallowing 8 cars.
Have you ever witnessed a shiny, gorgeous car get damaged at the most unexpected moment? In a completely unexpected incident, a sinkhole underneath the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky ended up swallowing 8 showroom condition cars.

The occurrence has made auto buffs cringe.
The massive sinkhole measured 40 feet wide and nearly 30 feet deep. Fortunately, no humans were injured.
Authorities suspected the sinkhole began to form a little before 5:30 am in the facility's Sky Dome section. About 15 minutes later, with the motion detectors setting off the police were dispatched to the museum.
The initial probe didn’t reveal any other threatening sinkholes under the building, but engineers are evaluating the cause and extent of the situation. The Museum’s Executive Director Wendell Strode said “This is going to be an interesting situation… Before we do anything, like remove the other cars, we want that assessment so we know if there’s been any structural damage to the Sky Dome.”
