Frontier Crimes Regulation Overview (documentary)
This documentary tells about the socio-economic and psychological aspects of FATA people lives which are negatively influenced by the FCR. Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) of Pakistan spread over 27,220 square kilometers territory over North Western frontier between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Durand line, with population of approximately four millions people (Census, 1998), laying in the middle of Himalaya and Sulimani mountains with seven Pukhtun-inhibited tribal agencies, Mohmand, Orakzai, Bajur, Kuram, Khyber and North and South Waziristan with 6 frontier regions is administered through “draconian and black” laws (Dr. Raza Rehman, 2014) implemented by British colonial time, Frontier Crimes Regulations (FCR) remained the only regulations dealing the political, social and legal affairs in the area since last century.
