March 28, 2013: Program Seedhi Baat on PTV, hosted by Tanzeela Mazhar with guests; Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, Chairman Qaumi Watan Party; Senator Abbas Afridi; and Saleem Safi, a senior journalist and analyst.

In a program broadcast on Pakistan Television discussed FATA reforms, as to when would the reforms be implemented in the tribal areas. Presenting solutions for mainstreaming FATA, Sherpao said, "there are three solutions for FATA; whether to make it a separate province, merge it with KP, or it should be given the same status as Gilgit-Baltistan. In either case the will of FATA citizens should be asked, they should be taken into account."

Commenting on the FCR, Abbas Afridi stated that the people of FATA are fed up of the existing system. "They want to get rid of FCR, and all the FATA citizens are united on this. They call it a brutal law which was enforced on them," he further added.

According to Saleem Safi neither the FATA citizens have a personal opinion nor the government of Pakistan has a writ over there. He said, "FATA citizens are stuck between the military and militants, their genuine leaders who used to be the pillars of their society are no more there."
