London, May 05: Pakistani journalist and talk show host Hamid Mir, who was shot by gunmen in Karachi on April 19, has blamed the ISI, the country's spy agency, for orchestrating the attack on him. The Geo TV's senior anchor, who is recovering in a Karachi hospital, said that he has been threatened again to leave the country. The attack on Hamid Mir shows that journalists in Pakistan live under the constant threat of killings, harassment and other violence from all sides - including intelligence services, political parties and armed groups like the Taliban. Amnesty International, through its recent report "A bullet has been chosen for you": Attack on journalists in Pakistan, has documented 34 cases of journalists being killed in Pakistan in response to their work since the restoration of democratic rule in 2008.
