Investors are keeping a keen eye on a Federal Reserve committee in the hope it will bring insight on the timing of an interest rate hike.
The Fed’s Open Market Committee is beginning a two-day gathering and is expected to put out its statement and projections on Wednesday.
Many economists expect the Fed will remove a pledge to be “patient” about raising interest rates, giving it flexibility on when to kick off its first rate hike since 2006.
