My trial/test run for the 2015 Perseid meteor shower

From earlier practice with the Lyrids, I wanted a refresher on the best meteor shower of the year, and the best in 5 years since there's no big fat Moon getting in the way. I did a few other time lapses beforehand but the main one is 1 minute long and plays at a speed 60 times faster than real time. Because I don't have a remote shutter of sorts, I can't have the camera in burst mode taking photos every second and holding the button down both gets tiring and it causes blur. The automated route, which is the best I have so far, has 1 second of taking the photo followed by 1 second of the camera not doing anything. Also, because I'm stuck in the city with no way to get out of the city, the sky glow is present, limiting the effectiveness.

Interestingly, I saw 3 confirmed meteors with my own eyes, 4 questionable as I got too brief of a glimpse of to verify.

At least, from this, I'm now prepared for the real show which is to occur on August 12 from 1 to 4 AM then August 13 from 1 to 4 AM. The higher the radiant rises, the better the results. The farther away you can get from the city lights, the better (though the city lights part is not something I can help much, though I'm going into the darkest area I can use).
