The creator of Green Valley, Ander Valverde, started his first musical experience in 2001, playing in sound systems, a little before recording his first demo alone, named “El Sueño Perdido”. He started with the idea of creating a band. In September 2004, the project Green Valley (the name of the band comes from the translation of his name into english) was launched and after its first steps, the band moved from Vitoria to Barcelona in 2006. The next year, another demo was released, called “Inmigrantes”, whereas his real first CD arrived in 2010, “En tus Manos”, in which he adopted reggae, roots and dancehall with militant texts of Green Valley. In 2012, the band produced “La Voz del Pueblo”, which was followed in 2013 by the acoustic work “Mírame a los Ojos”, presented on the twentieth edition of the Rototom Sunsplash. The tenth anniversary of Green Valley was celebrated in 2014, with the releasing of the disc “Hijos de la Tierra”, which is the most ambicious and most mature work they did, undoubtedly.
