PRESENTED BY HERNANDO SUAREZ
The beginnings of Millones de Colores as it is today date back to the year 2010. Alessandro, Alonso and Nicolás played the band's early shows as a threesome and recorded their first split, El Split de Buh & Millones de Colores. Fernando was then recruited to play guitar, thus rounding out their current four-piece incarnation. In early 2011, the band recorded its sophomore EP, Primaveriza.
Primaveriza showcases Millones de Colores as a band unafraid to follow music to wherever it may lead. The four songs, clocking in at barely under 4 minutes, are intense, fleeting bursts of emotion and unrestrained creativity, and hint at the energy that the band is known to exhibit in its live shows. Several media gave favorable reviews of Primaveriza and the band toured the country to play in the cities of Trujillo and Arequipa.
Arequipa left a strong impression on the band, who were inspired to write and record their latest release, Piratas Resilientes del Inframundo (Resilient Pirates of the Underworld). In "Pirates", Millones de Colores steps out of their comfort zone and expand their sonic palette to include new rythms and sounds, always paying attention to detail, all while allowing the music to impose its own equilibrium.
The band is currently in a state of uninterrupted creation, and plans to record their first LP later on this year.
