Seeking something sweet during the disco era, young Americans made the Amaretto Sour a very popular cocktail. Unfortunately, during the same time period, fresh ingredients had been replaced by sour mix and other artificial flavorings. These days, there is no excuse for not using fresh and high quality ingredients, like Luxardo Amaretto Liqueur (http://bit.ly/luxardo_amaretto). If you do, as Francesco Lafranconi does here, you can master the Amaretto Sour!

Recipe:
1/2 oz pasteurized egg white
1 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 oz Luxardo Amaretto Liqueur: http://bit.ly/luxardo_amaretto
Small scoop of lemon sorbet

Instructions:
Shake with ice to mix and emulsify.
Strain into a chilled old fashioned glass filled with ice.
Garnish with Luxardo Maraschino Cherries (http://bit.ly/luxardomaraschinocherries) and fresh lemon zest.
