CORSICANA, TEXAS — Remnants of Hurricane Patricia made their way into Texas this past weekend causing unabating showers that caused flooding, highway shut downs and even toppling a train.

Dramatic helicopter footage taken four miles north of Corsicana, near Dallas, shows what happened when a Union Pacific freight train ran into flood waters over the weekend.

The 64-car locomotive, reportedly hauling loose gravel, was travelling from Midlothian to Houston when several cars were tossed off the tracks after nearby Chambers Creek began to overflow, according to WKRG.

The sole two crew members aboard escaped unharmed after they swam their way to what was described as "high ground" before being saved by emergency responders.

By Sunday, storms related to Hurricane Patricia, which luckily caused no reported deaths, had begun to finally clear up, according to Reuters.
