Venezuela’s Assembly has passed a new proposal to give ownership of the National Assembly’s Television Station to its workers. The channel is known for promoting debate. The opposition announced this week that they want to close or restructure ANTV. The closing or restructuring of the channel would not only put an end to valued service, but would also put the jobs of more than 300 employs at risk. The opposition has also said that in January’s session of the National Assembly, they will try to remove President Nicolas Maduro from office and overhaul the Constitution.
