LUOYANG, CHINA — A Chinese man jumped into the tiger enclosure from a chairlift when he was visiting a zoo in Henan, a province in central China, because he was looking for "a thrill."

According to the People's Daily, the incident took place at Wang Cheng Park in Luoyang city on Dec. 19, when the 40-year-old man was visiting the park by himself.

The unidentified man noticed the safety net above the tiger enclosure and, believing it to be well-built, he decided to jump onto the net and then do a somersault off of it.

Alas, things did not go according to plan. Surveillance footage shows him fail spectacularly. He was reportedly not injured, and zoo workers who came to his rescue said he did not appear to be mentally unstable.
