At night king Vikramaditya sitting on the roof of the palace. The weather was so beautiful. Everything so clear likes a day. King was totally lost in the beauty of nature. Suddenly, they were shocked. He heard women's scream.
बारहवीं पुतली पद्मावती ने जो कथा सुनाई वह इस प्रकार है-
एक दिन रात के समय राजा विक्रमादित्य महल की छत पर बैठे थे। मौसम बहुत सुहाना था। पूनम का चांद अपने यौवन पर था तथा सब कुछ इतना साफ-साफ दिख रहा था, मानों दिन हो। प्रकृति की सुन्दरता में राजा एकदम खोए हुए थे। सहसा वे चौंक गए। किसी स्त्री की चीख थी।
