Interviewer: Many Congrats on an unbelievable record. 37th Downhill Win, 74th World Cup Win and 10th Win here in Cortina equal with Renate Götschl. How unbelievable is this for you when you have already won so much?
Lindsey: That’s unbelievable and difficult to describe. Many think it looks easy but for me it’s not easy. It’s never easy. I try to give my best everyday and it’s difficult to stay concentrated. When I have a good run when I make no mistake i’m luckily really fast. I think during my career I worked hard and that’s why I made so many wins. But I’m really thankful and happy.
Interviewer: We ate last night next to Lindsey and she was totally relaxed. We’ll take a look at Lindseys Run and maybe Lindsey can say something to it too.
Alexandar Meissnitzer: I like the great feeling Lindsey has on the her DH skis.
Lindsey: Today I skied good in the traverse. Yesterday I made a strange mistake in this part. But today I skied great in the upper part. I satisfied with my perfomance here. I took a more direct line here. Yesterday I was to round and here it was faster today.
Alexandra Meissnitzer: Did you feel the wind during your run?
Lindsey: Yeah sure at the bottom I was feeling that I’m skiing slower every second. I wasn’t sure if I have the green light in the finish. With the wind you don’t know if it’s okay or not.
Alexandra Meissnitzer: Now you are at the area where it is important to make speed. You have a 2,18 meter skis which are man skis. Can you make a lot of speed especially here?
Lindsey: Sure. Here I skied to direct and was a bitt o wide down. I think with my skis I can make more speed. But I lost time at the last jump I think that was head wind.
Alexandra Meissnitzer: It’s also human when a Lindsey Vonn also loses a hundreth sometimes. For us it was dream to see such great turns.
Interviewer: A expert talk on high niveau. You also won a lot Alexandra. How do you think are all this records Lindsey broke so far?
Alexandra Meissnitzer: It’s difficult to realize the records which are broken here. This are numbers which are incredible. The most of us never thought about that. For Lindsey it’s normal. But you have to know that there is also a lot of pressure for her. She always has to make her performance because everyone expects her to win.
Interviewer: I don’t want to put pressure on you Lindsey. But tomorrow there would be another record. Renate Götschl has 41 Super G podiums and you 40. Your next goal tomorrow?
Lindsey: I don’t know which record will come. As usal I’ll try to give my best and to win every speed race this Season. We’ll see.
Interviewer: Many Congrats & celebrate well maybe with Lucy.
Lindsey: I’m really happy with my dog it doesn’t matter if I would have won today or not.
