Veteran actor Satish Kaushik hits the silver screen this election season with his Political satire Dekh Tamasha Dekh. Satish Kaushik plays the lead character in the film who is a corrupt politician. Grape vine has it that the character is based on GD Goenka at least in terms of mannerisms, look and feel. Talking about his role in Dekh Tamasha Dekh, Satish Kaushik said, “My audience has really accepted me well in comic roles and that is how I’m primarily perceived in the Industry but as an actor I am open to all kinds of roles. Dekh Tamasha Dekh is an interesting project and I feel this is the right timing for a political satire. I play a corrupt politician. Yes there is comedy but the role also has a lot of grey shades which I enjoyed playing”. Dekh Tamasha Dekh is a satire on the Indian political scenario today in search of the religious identity of a poor man who gets crushed under the humungous hoardings of a politician, played by Satish Kaushik.
