The Jamaat-i-Islami, Awami National Party and Qaumi Watan Party each won tehsil council seat at |Sultankhel Payeen ward, Toormang 1 and Kotigram in Lower Dir in local government by elections held here on Sunday. According to unofficial and unverified result Hayat Khan of the JI bagged 1067 votes as compared to 881 of his father from the PML-N in Sultankhel ward. In Toormang I Malik Aftab Ahmad of the ANP stood 1st with 1284 votes defeating Malik Ijaz Khan of the JI who got 1093 votes. Similarly in Kotigram ward Tauseef Umar of the QWP bagged 1815 votes while his rival Zahir Shah of the JI got 1112 votes. The JI also emerged victorious by winning majority of the general, kisan and women councilors' seats in Lower Dir.
